Ships and Objects
| Name | Author | Description |
| Tie Invader | Mesh by graphixkid44 (from Admeasure) |
Fast and powerfully armed, this space superiority fighter has the weak point of being rather fragile. |
| Intercepter | Mesh used was Space Fighter created by Phil Ings (from GamasutraExchange). |
Fast, light, agile, poorly armed, everything an intercepter should be. |
| Nebulae collection | Various Converted to jpeg and resolution adjusted by Strati D. Zerbinis |
A set of good nebula images perfect for spicing up any background starfield |
| Planets collection | NASA | A set of planet textures, its good to have some land to fight over |
| Shrike | Mesh used was shrike.3ds created by Tolwyn of the Wing Commander
3D web site Converted to StratWars ship by Strati D.Zerbinis |
I know this is probably not how it's supposed to fly in the wing commander universe but it looked like a fighter to me. |
| Piranha | Mesh used was pirahna.3ds created by Tolwyn of the Wing Commander
3D web site Converted to StratWars ship by Strati D.Zerbinis |
I know this is probably not how it's supposed to fly in the wing commander universe but it looked like a strike fighter to me. |
| Frigate | Mesh used was cruiser.3ds created by Marts "CptnEisen"
Baldwin. This was found on the Wing Commander 3D web site Converted to StratWars ship by Strati D.Zerbinis |
When you just don't care anymore...no not really. I know this
is probably not how it's supposed to fly in the wing commander universe
(I never played Prophecy) but it looked like a frigate to me. It
has many guns for point defense against fighters it is still quite
vulnerable if it doesn't have fighter cover. But against similar
sized ships its beam and plasma cannons, as well as it's main torpedo
launchers make it formidable. Note the model is his, the texture errors and strange weapon placement is mine. I'm sorry and I'm working on fixing it |
| Borg Cube | Aaron Reitz and Necroherent | A small cube but still a formidable warship, armed with multiple beam turrets. |
| Slave 1 | Original mesh by Borg124 |
Famous throughout the galaxy, this fast and instantly recognizable pursuit vessel has been the mount of choice for two of the most well known bounty hunters. |
| Cylon Raider v1.1 | Jonathan Theiss | The Cylon Raider. A powerful fighter and remarkably maneuverable for a three man ship. It serves as the first line of defense, and more often attack for the Cylon Empire. Thanks to the miracle of mass production the Cylon forces are able to field wave after wave of these ominous warships and overwhelm enemies. Even one on one this fighter is not to be taken lightly. |
| Colonial Viper v1.1 | Jonathan Theiss | The Colonial Viper. A fast and capable fighter and the back bone of the Colonial forces. It's speed and firepower let it take on superior numbers of enemy and still prevail. Which is good when you're trying to defend a ragtag fleet from an unstoppable and merciless enemy. |

| StratWars Ship Editor Beta14 (Mac) | Strati D. Zerbinis | Now you can edit .shp files *without* needing a text editor...oooh what luxury. With such high tech and sophistamacated features as loading, saving, and importing .3ds models. Real documentation will come. |
| StratWars Scenario Editor Beta2 (Mac, Windows, Linux) | Strati D. Zerbinis | What the ship editor did for editing ships, this does for editing scenarios... Provides a graphic visualization, as well as some error checking and elliminates many common sources of error when creating your own scenarios by hand. This installer now uses Java WebStart, though once you download it you can run it offline as a free standing application (WebStart will prompt you if you wish to make it a seperate application the second time you launch it, or you can run WebStart yourself and select 'Create Desktop Application' from the Application menu. When you download the file you may be prompted to trust the OpenGL for Java Jars. These are the official Jars and I have not changed them in any way, so they should be safe. You'll uh... need to save target to disk, probably. Oh and make sure that the file extension is .jnlp (cause some browsers rename jnlp files to .xml or .html for some reason) Sorry I'll try and make this more straightforward in the future. NOTE: may need JOGL availible from the home page |
